Episode 8: Cats and the Stuffed Animals They “Love”

It’s time for our roundup of what we’ve been reading, watching, and listening to this month. With the flu and other winter crud storming their way through our little town of Berea and through our households, we’ve had a lot of time to do some binge watching. Here are all of our picks to make it easy for you to find them. And of course, you hear all of our recommendation on this week’s episode. It’s one of our favorites.

Episode 3: The Lone Runner

With kids ranging in age from 10 to 23, we gather to talk this week about how our ideas about parenthood have changed in the years since our children were born. We reminisce not so fondly about all the unsolicited advice we got when we were young parents, and we offer a little unsolicited advice of our own: always eat school lunch and lie to your pediatrician about how much baby is sleeping. We talk about how family life changes as children get older. Hint: it’s more fun and more exhausting.  Bonus: we learn that Kelly used to make her own cat food, and we find out about a New Year’s goal that Katie is following through on. Recorded at Front Porch Studios in Berea, Kentucky.
